A Minecraft fan has shared an impressive idea for a Kuvo Beetle for the Deep Dark designed to add some cuteness to the biome. While some Minecraft gamers think of ways to avoid the dangers of the Deep Dark, this fan has an idea to improve it in one key way.

As Mojang updates Minecraft new biomes, items, and blocks are introduced to the game. The Deep Dark biome was added to Minecraft with the Wild update in June 2022, bringing with it Ancient Cities protected by powerful Wardens. The Warden is summoned by activating Sculk Shriekers, which are often alerted to a player's presence by Sculk Sensors. As it's a fresh biome, some players have had ideas for spicing things up, with some creating mods that expand on its foundations. One gamer has created an incredible concept for a beetle intended to provide a cute element to the otherwise dangerous biome.

Minecraft Player Remakes Iconic Warcraft 3 Location

A creative Minecraft fan uses the game’s assortment of blocks to create a neat tribute to a classic location from Blizzard’s Warcraft 3.

Reddit user Nondescript_Potato recently shared their concept for what they call a Kuvo Beetle designed for Minecraft's Deep Dark biome. The animations depict a horned six-legged beetle that's about the size of an Armadillo that matches the Deep Dark's color scheme. Their concept includes walking and running animations, alert and relaxed positions, and a 360-degree pan of the beetle in the Overworld. Beyond the 3D model, the concept also suggests necessary details for the mob, like its ability to detect vibrations with its horns, an inability to fly, and an Echo Shard diet. The mob would also respond to music, chirping when a Note Block plays, and dancing to Jukeboxes by "bopping its head up and down."

This Minecraft Concept Could Improve the Deep Dark Biome

Other than the decided details for the Kuvo Beetle, the concept includes work-in-progress ideas like its ability to jump more than one block in height, spawning from activated Sculk Shriekers with the ability to trigger them when damaged, and it can be tamed. Because it seems to be summoned the same way a Minecraft Warden is, it could add a challenge to the Deep Dark for players looking to expand their bestiaries. The passive mob may also consume Amethyst Shards and follow the Warden around when it's summoned, burrowing into the ground with it when it disappears. As its existence is primarily just to be a "fun little guy," it's unclear if the mob would drop anything once defeated.

While this concept could liven up the Deep Dark biome, it's unclear if Nondescript_Potato intends to introduce it to the game with a mod. As Mojang continues to update Minecraft, a future patch may include its own passive mob for the Deep Dark.
