Senior Online Games

The Internet is an entertaining place. Aside from communicating with friends and family as well as acting as one giant encyclopedia, the Internet also provides a plethora of fun, in particular, senioronline games.

The problem is that so many of them simply are not for us. I am not interested in watching a fast food advertisem*nt for 18 seconds before I can see the game. Disappointment abounds when I see that it is too juvenile.

PacMan is a game that has been uprooted by technology. Looking back, it is hard to believe we thought it was exciting.

There are tons of games available for seniors, ranging from those that sharpen your cognitive skills to those thatare simply an easy and enjoyable way to pass the time. But with hundreds and thousands of senior online games available right at your fingertips, sometimes it can be a little overwhelming to find the best ones.

I am not interested in the game of capture the flag nor in shooting a gun at my opponents. Poki is not in my mindset. Running down a ramp while hammers attempt to stomp me is not my idea of fun.

I love senior online games, especially Minesweeper or Sokoban. Both can be downloaded from the Microsoft Storeon your computer or the app store on your phone.

I must warn you that both are addictive but entertaining. Just what we need for a lazy afternoon.

Minesweeperis shown on a board of squares. Click on any square. Then continue to click the squares. You win if you have avoided all of themines.

The numbers in the boxes tell you how many mines are on a square touching that square. If you figure out where the mines are, you win. It appears to be impossible but keep at it and you will figure out how to win.
