LEESVILLE, South Carolina Mary Ann Hall 1939 — 2023 Mary Ann Fortson Hall was born on January 5, 1939, to Julien and Josephine Fortson, in Elberton, Georgia. Her childhood in that small town has been described as idyllic. Mary Ann grew up as a second child with two sisters and a baby brother. She graduated from Elberton High School in 1957, where she played the oboe, and her favorite club was Future Homemakers of America. After high school, she trained to be an x-ray technician and worked at a hospital in Anderson, SC. God had great plans for her in Anderson. LEESVILLE Kerry Ellis-Swan 2022 Kerry Ellis-Swan, 73, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022. Born in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann Lowsley Ellis. She lived in Rupert, VT, New York and Aiken, SC where she was a horse breeder and retired to Leesville. Surviving are her son, Macintosh "Mac" Swan of Burlington, VT; grandchildren, Macintosh Swan, Valenzea Swan, brother, Robin Ellis (Carolyn); nephew, Johnathan Ellis and cousin, Patricia Ellis Corley She was predeceased by her brother Kim Ellis. Gilbert, South Carolina Ruth C. Jones 1940 — 2020 Ruth Jones, 80, passed away Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020, in her home after a battle with breast cancer. Ms. Jones was born April 10, 1940 in Olean, NY to Mr. Roland Carr and Ms. Pearl French. In 1964 she married the late Robert D. Jones. She relocated in 1973 to West Seneca, NY, and then again in 1998 to SC. Ms. Jones is survived by her sons, Jeffrey M. Jones of Anderson, SC, and Timothy R. Nikki West 2019 Lexington, SC--Nikki Nichols West, 72, of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September twenty-forth in Lexington, SC surrounded by family and friends.
